Abenteuerführungen in den Osterferien
Für die ganze FamilieAdventure tours during the Easter holidays
During the Easter holidays from Tuesday, 15 to Friday, 18 April 2025, there will be exciting adventure tours through the archaeological outdoor area at MAMUZ Schloss Asparn/Zaya especially for families.
From 11:00 to 12:00, we will be travelling back to the Stone Age, where you can discover the everyday life of our ancestors 40,000 years ago while turning wood and throwing spears. We move from the Palaeolithic period, when people were hunters and gatherers, to the Neolithic period, when they became sedentary. This development can be seen particularly clearly in the dwellings on the open-air site: from the tipi and porch to the Neolithic longhouse, which at 30 metres was a true feat of engineering 7000 years ago.
The metal ages are explored from 13:00 to 14:00, and visitors can try their hand at striking sparks with sparks and flint in the Bronze and Iron Age workshops. The advent of metal also brought wealth, trade and new technologies. The adventure tour provides a broad overview of the development of society and the trades.
From 15:00 to 16:00, the focus is on the Middle Ages and its craftsmanship. Together, the focus will be on the development of this period - from craftsmanship to Christianisation and construction. The early medieval church, which can be visited in the open-air grounds of MAMUZ Schloss Asparn/Zaya, is unique. We actively try our hand at throwing stones together.
